On Saturday June 7, 2025, in collaboration with Télé Villars-Gryon-Diablerets S.A. ,the Commune d'Ollon and the Summit Foundation, the Villars Tourist Office is organizing a litter-picking day in the Villars ski area.
We look forward to seeing many of you on this day, whose aim is to make our beautiful mountains cleaner.
Collection area : Bretaye
Meeting point : Gare de Villars-sur-Ollon, 1884 Ollon
Program :
Two departures will be possible to go up to Bretaye from the Villars-sur-Ollon train station (09:00 and 10:00).
A croissant as well as a picnic will be offered by TVGD at the Bretaye station.
09h20 : Arrival of the first group in Bretaye + briefing, presentation of the routes and distribution of equipment for the clean-up (gloves, bags).
09h45 : Departure of the first group for the clean-up areas.
10h20 : Arrival of the second group in Bretaye + briefing, presentation of the routes and distribution of equipment for the clean-up (gloves, bags).
10h45 : Departure of the second group for the clean-up areas.
14h30 : Weighing, sorting and characterization of the waste in Bretaye, group photo and debriefing.
14h55 ou 15h55 : Return train (It is also possible to walk back down for those who wish.)
Practical info :
Gloves and sorting bags are provided on site. If you have your own pair of gloves, feel free to bring them with you.
A picnic is offered as a thank you. But don't hesitate to bring a snack and a bottle of water (e.g. flask) with you during the pick-up to avoid any unpleasant surprises.
Thanks to the support of Transports Publics du Chablais, the Clean-Up Tour's mobility partner, you will be able to travel freely on the TPC network from Aigle/Monthey to Bretaye and back, on presentation of a Summit Foundation counter-mark.
Train access Villars-Bretaye :
Are you a Magic Pass holder? Take it with you, your pass will give you direct access to the train through the turnstile.
Not a Magic Pass holder? Present the Summit Foundation counter mark at the TPC counter at Villars station. A skidata holder will be given to you so that you can pass through the turnstile on the train to Bretaye.
BVB construction information: The BVB line (Bex–Villars–Bretaye) is being modernized for greater comfort. Due to construction work, trains are replaced by buses between Bex and Villars. It is not possible to travel with bicycles on the buses. More information on www.bvbinfo.ch
