Andermatt

The snow is melting, and summer is just around the corner. To make sure no waste is left behind in nature, Andermatt-Sedrun Sport AG is organizing a Clean-Up Day together with the Summit Foundation. On Saturday, 4 July, we will meet to clean up the area around the Oberalp Pass together. As a thank-you, there will be lunch after the clean-up, followed by a relaxed get-together.

The Saturday 4th of July, we will meet up to clean the mountain together.

Program :

We will be out in several groups and offer both longer, more alpine clean-up routes and shorter ones. The meeting point for all groups is the valley station of the Schneehüenerstock Express on the Oberalp Pass. You will find a route description for each group after the programme.

9:00 a.m. | Group 1: Welcome, briefing, coffee and croissants
9:30 a.m. | Group 1: Start of the Clean-Up
10:00 a.m. | Groups 2 & 3: Welcome, briefing, coffee and croissants
10:30 a.m. | Groups 2 & 3: Start of the Clean-Up
12:30 p.m. | Everyone: Meet at the valley station of the Schneehüenerstock Express, sort and weigh the waste, group photo
1:30 p.m. | Everyone: Relaxed get-together and lunch

Route description:

Group 1: Oberalp Pass - Val Val - 6 km - 452 m elevation gain - 3 hrs - Meeting point at 9:00 a.m.
Group 2: Oberalpsee & car parks - 4 km - 44 m elevation gain - 2 hrs - Meeting point at 10:00 a.m.
Group 3: Oberalp Pass - Calmut - 4 km - 245 m elevation gain - 2 hrs - Meeting point at 10:00 a.m.

Practical info :

Equipment for the clean-up operation, such as gloves and rubbish bags, as well as lift tickets, will be given to you on site. If you have your own gardening or work gloves, you can take them with you.
Mountain footwear (hiking boots, trekking shoes)
Depending on the weather, protection against sun, wind and rain.
Snacks and beverages for a quick bite in the morning.
