Dear Volunteers,
Thank you very much for your commitment to environmental protection and for registering for Clean Up Day on Saturday, October 25, 2025 at Kandersteg-Oeschinensee.
In view of the weather forecasts, we can expect the ground in the Lake Oeschinen region to be covered with snow by this date. Under these conditions, it will not be possible to collect waste.
We would like to postpone the cleaning day to Sunday, November 2, 2025 and would be delighted to receive many registrations.
New date Sunday, November 2.
Meeting point: Gondelbahn Kandersteg - Oeschinensee
The program remains the same:
- 09:00: Meet at the bottom station of the Kandersteg - Oeschinensee gondola lift
- 09:15: Welcome (by rangers), gondola ride (by rangers). The gondola ride is of course paid for by the GKO.
- 09:30: Coffee at the top station
- 09:50: Briefing & distribution of equipment (gloves, pliers, garbage can liners) and picnic (provided by the GKO)
- 10:00 am: Breakdown of participants into groups
- 10:15 am: Departure of groups
- 12:00 pm: Separate picnics.
- 1:30 pm: Individual group returns.
- 1.45pm: Weighing and sorting waste
- 2.15pm: Group photo, aperitif offered by the GKO and end of the day.
- 2.45pm: Toboggan ride for those interested

Practical info :
Gloves and sorting bags are provided on site. If you have your own pair of gloves, please bring them with you.
Don't hesitate to take a snack and a bottle of water (e.g. a flask) with you during the pick-up to avoid any unpleasant surprises.
Details of the day's activities will be e-mailed to each participant a few days before the event.
