Dear Volunteers,
On Saturday, October 17, here we go again: we head up to the mountains together to remove waste and other items that do not belong in the alpine pastures.
The activity is open to everyone: all are warmly invited to participate. As a reward, a picnic and a sled ride await you.
Meeting point: Departure station of the Kandersteg – Oeschinensee cable car Gondelbahn Kandersteg - Oeschinensee
Program :
- 09:00: Meet at the bottom station of the Kandersteg - Oeschinensee gondola lift
- 09:15: Welcome (by rangers), gondola ride (by rangers). The gondola ride is of course paid for by the GKO.
- 09:30 : Coffee and croissant at the upper station
- 09:50: Briefing & distribution of equipment (gloves, pliers, garbage can liners) and picnic (provided by the GKO)
- 10:00 am: Breakdown of participants into groups
- 10:15 am: Departure of groups
- 12:00 : Lunch break (in groups)
- 1:30 pm: Individual group returns.
- 1.45pm: Weighing and sorting waste
- 2.15pm: Group photo, aperitif offered by the GKO and end of the day.
- 2.45pm: Toboggan ride for those interested
Practical info :
Gloves and sorting bags are provided on site. If you have your own pair of gloves, please bring them with you.
Feel free to bring something to snack on and a bottle of water (e.g., a reusable bottle) during the clean-up to avoid any unpleasant surprises.
Details of the day's activities will be e-mailed to each participant a few days before the event.
